Position Overview
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a 14-month full-time position as a Postdoctoral Researcher, with specific expertise in advanced microscopy for analysis of microbial biofilms, in the Siggins Lab, at the University of Galway, Ireland.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be joining the URF project team, which is investigating the role of biochar in aerobic methane oxidation. They will be specifically tasked with developing microscopy approaches for imaging of microbial cells, to advance understanding of methanotrophic community structure and function in biotechnologically important biofilms.
Salary
Salary: Postdoctoral Researcher salary scale €46,305 - €59,063 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
