Draughtsperson / Designer

The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and motivated Draughtsperson / Designer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused professional with strong technical skills and a passion for design and construction to work in a dynamic, project-driven environment. You will play a key role in transforming client and project requirements into clear, buildable technical drawings and plans used throughout the design and construction process.
Key Responsibilities
* • Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, elevations, and plans using AutoCAD and other design tools
* • Interpret architectural plans, engineering specifications, and client briefs to develop detailed technical solutions
* • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure design intent is achievable and practical
* • Produce material schedules, take-offs, and related technical documentation
* • Ensure all drawings comply with current building regulations, industry standards, and internal procedures
* • Assist in value engineering and design optimisation by considering aesthetics, functionality, and cost-efficiency
* • Maintain well-organised digital drawing files and project documentation
* • Stay informed on new technologies, materials, and CAD/BIM trends relevant to the industry
* • Assist with site surveys, dimensioning, and technical coordination when required
* • Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team culture
Skills & Experience Required
* • Qualification in Draughting, Design, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline
* • Proven experience in a draughting or design role, preferably within construction or architectural environments
* • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); experience with Revit or BIM tools is a distinct advantage
* • Sound knowledge of construction detailing, technical documentation, and building regulations
* • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
* • Strong 3D spatial awareness and design problem-solving skills
* • Ability to interpret complex drawings and provide clear, buildable outputs
* • Good communication and teamwork skills
* • Strong time management and project coordination abilities
* • A valid driver’s licence may be required for occasional site visits
