Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated commercially focused qualified accountant to join the commercial finance team in an industry leading engineering business. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance the role will support the business and finance function across the entire group and give the successful applicant excellent exposure to senior stakeholders. Responsibilities: Build a strong relationship and business partner with the commercial team to: Understand and challenge operational performance and expectations. Understand revenue and cost drivers and lead detailed financial reviews of relevant projects Gather a detailed understanding of project performance, project outlook and expectations Work with the financial control team in ensuring accurate month-end project performance analysis while ensuring a fully understood and reconciled balance sheet position by project. Support the delivery of on-going budgeting and forecasting Develop cross function relationships to maintain & improve the flow of key information Working capital management, focusing on debtor and work in progress (WIP) collection and escalation management. Drive process improvements to enhance reporting Requirements: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE Excellent analytical with a high standard of numerical skills.
