Gear Jewellers is a long-established jewellery business that values craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and a straightforward approach to retail. We've built a thriving online business alongside our established retail presence, and we're looking for an experienced E-Commerce Manager to own and scale our digital strategy.
Role Overview
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role reporting directly to the owner. You'll have full ownership of our digital ecosystem - from paid media and conversion optimisation to customer experience and strategic partnerships, working collaboratively with our in-house content creator and freelance developer.
Beyond driving online revenue, you'll generate high-value engagement ring appointments - a key pillar of our business that bridges digital marketing with in-store conversion.
This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded operator who is comfortable owning outcomes, not just channels, and understands the longer consideration cycles, trust-building, and nurture strategies required in premium jewellery.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce & Digital Experience
* Full ownership of Shopify platform (theme customisation, apps, products, collections, merchandising)
* Manage six-figure annual ad budgets across Meta and Google, optimising for ROAS, revenue growth, and CPA
* Drive continuous CRO improvements across site navigation, search, checkout, and overall customer journey
* Develop and execute seasonal campaigns and promotional strategies
* Act as key digital stakeholder influencing broader business strategy
Marketing & Customer Acquisition
* Plan, create, and optimise paid social and search campaigns from concept to execution
* Manage email marketing and CRM strategy in Klaviyo (campaigns, segmentation, automation flows) to drive loyalty and repeat revenue
* Build and optimise landing pages and conversion funnels
* Align paid media strategy with trading priorities and appointment-driven objectives
Appointment Generation & High-Ticket Sales
* Drive engagement ring consultation bookings through targeted campaigns and nurture sequences
* Nurture high-intent leads from online discovery through to in-store consultation
* Manage appointment funnel optimisation in Calendly and CRM
* Balance online revenue generation with appointment-driven in-store conversion
Operations & Performance
* Monitor daily and weekly trading performance, identifying opportunities and risks
* Manage relationships with payment providers, shipping partners, and finance partners
* Manage third-party integrations and partnerships to enhance ecommerce capabilities and drive business results.
* Oversee reputation management across Google My Business, Trustpilot, and review platforms
* Handle customer service escalations and policy decisions
* Brief and collaborate with freelance developer on technical projects
* Track and report on key metrics: revenue, ROAS, CPA, AOV
Experience Needed:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
* 3-4 years of experience in ecommerce management within luxury or high-AOV retail
* Proven experience running Meta and Google Ads, managing and scaling profitable, high-ROAS funnels as part of a full-funnel ecommerce strategy.
* Proficiency with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or Shopify Plus, including experience with backend management and customisation.
* Data-driven mindset with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Elevar
* Demonstrated ability to optimise conversion rates and drive online sales growth through attention to detail in UX/UI
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
* Technical aptitude and familiarity with web development concepts and tools.
* Experience with third-party integrations and managing external partnerships.
* Creative thinking and a keen eye for merchandising and visual presentation
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to change quickly.

Pay: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
