OptumRx is looking for a curious and self‑motivated individual as part of a hybrid analytics/contracts team tasked with bringing increased understanding and clarity to contract interpretation and the financial analytics that quantify potential impacts. This role will be responsible for interfacing with various stakeholders, understanding current processes and implementing change where applicable, and establishing relationships with internal teams. We are looking for people that can collaborate closely with internal partners, comfortably work with contract language and data, and are adaptable and eager to learn. This role will include several days a week with team members in the Dublin office, in the Republic of Ireland.
Primary Responsibilities of the Principal Data Analyst
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure they receive and understand the terms of our PBM contracts.
Develop and maintain visions and roadmaps for our internal team’s utilization of the Contract Analysis Tool (CAT).
Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
Create a centralized repository of contracts and ensure accurate documentation, version control, and audit readiness.
Identify non‑preferred contract language and, when possible, endeavor to have the language changed.
Utilize exceptional organizational skills in the management of OptumRx Client contracts, ensuring accurate and timely data, generating reports, and tracking monthly performance & adherence metrics.
Demonstrate understanding of complex contract language to assess financial, non‑financial impact and legal implications of requested contract changes.
Rapidly develop new insights and iterate upon those insights to drive business decisions.
Stakeholder management experience, with strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels.
Team player that can successfully manage multiple activities, assess priorities and achieve solutions under deadlines for themselves.

Required Qualifications of the Principal Data Analyst
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, English, Finance, Legal) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in managed health care or pharmacy benefit management contracts.
Advanced level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications of the Principal Data Analyst
Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, Law).
Proven experience in contract analysis, contract management or review strategy development and contract redlining experience.
Experience in pharmaceutical industry context.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
