* Journal Entries & Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications, to ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to verify the accuracy of financial data
* Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing insights into the company’s financial position.
* Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper elimination entries are made
* Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and explanations during internal and external audits
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Requirements:
* Education: Professional Accounting Qualification
* Experience: Previous experience in a similar accounting role, often 1–3 years.
* Professional Certification: Pursuit of or completion of professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA is often preferred.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Intact) and advanced Excel skills.
* Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external auditors.
