Opalus Healthcare is currently recruiting Surgical SHOs and Registrars for locum & standalone positions across hospitals in Ireland. These flexible roles offer a variety of contract durations - short/long-term.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring of surgical patients.
* Ward Duties: Participate in daily surgical ward rounds, providing patient updates and ensuring continuity of care.
* Surgical Assistance: Assist Consultants and Registrars during surgical procedures, gaining hands-on experience in the operating theatre.
* Emergency Surgical Care: Manage and assist with emergency surgical admissions, including the evaluation and management of acute surgical cases.
* Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with Consultants, Registrars, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
* On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota, providing cover for emergency and elective surgical patients.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, patient care plans, and clinical progress.
Requirements:
* Full General Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
* Previous experience working in Ireland.
* Excellent surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
* Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
* Flexibility to work across multiple sites in Ireland.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland (Irish/EU/UK passport or Stamp 4).
