Job Description:
The mechanical project engineer plays a pivotal role in driving the continued and sustained development of site operations.
* Project manage mine related projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery in agreement with mine management.
* Lead cross-functional teams to develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
* Collaborate with Mine maintenance and facilities supervisor to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
* Manage mechanical projects across mining and quarrying operations.
* Research and analyze design proposals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
* Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design specifications.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crews.
