What is the opportunity?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of expert lawyers in supporting Wealth & Insurance area within the Bank of Ireland Group. This role will allow you to provide input to key legal decisions and to grow and practice your expertise in financial services law with a particular emphasis on life assurance and pensions.
The key purpose of this role is to provide legal advice and support to the various business divisions within the Bank of Ireland Group who provide life assurance and pension products to customers.
In this role you will:
* Lead a portfolio of FSPO and litigation cases and advise on dispute resolution
* Draft various forms of pensions legal documentation
* Negotiate and draft commercial contracts
* Advise on areas such as pensions, company law and consumer laws
* Participate in strategic and other business projects
What will make you stand out?
You ideally have experience of Irish pension and life assurance law and regulation. Excellent communication and influencing abilities, including the ability to interact effectively at senior levels, both within the organisation and with external bodies is a must!
You have strong commerciality and problem-solving skills and exude resilience and ability to effectively balance multiple business partners.

Irish qualified lawyer with experience of Irish pension and life assurance law and regulation.
