RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates, supporting hospitals, nursing homes, home care services and community care providers.We are currently recruiting a Staff Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a hospital based in Dublin, Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesWork as part of the nursing team on day duty, carrying out duties as allocated by the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM 2).Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to ICU patients, including the planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of individualised care.Deliver holistic care by recognising the complex physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of ICU, emergency, medical and surgical patients and their families.Ensure safe medication management, including accurate controlled drug records and compliance with hospital policy, Department of Health and NMBI guidelines.Maintain high standards of safety in the storage, preparation and administration of all medications to protect patients and staff.Supervise and support less experienced nursing staff, contributing to their education, development and safe clinical practice.Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date nursing documentation and reports in line with NMBI standards, including Meditech patient records.Ensure the safe, effective and economical use of unit stock, equipment and resources, and safeguard patients’ personal belongings in line with hospital policy.Act as Nurse in Charge of the ward/unit when required in the absence of the CNM and be flexible to work in other clinical areas as needed.Report and document incidents, complaints or near misses promptly, participate in investigations, attend meetings as required, and promote a culture of dignity, respect, openness and responsiveness to patient feedback.RequirementsFully registered in the General Division of the NMBI Register of Nurses.Minimum of two years’ recent post-registration nursing experience (full‑time or equivalent part‑time) in an acute hospital setting.At least two years’ experience in ICU or CCU nursing.Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or be actively pursuing same.BenefitsCompetitive salaryOnsite parkingPensionAnnual bonusDiscounted caféSports and Social clubEmployee Assistance ProgrammeDiscounted onsite pharmacy
