Role Details
* Position: Junior Financial Analyst – Accounts Receivable
* Reporting to: Finance Operations Supervisor
* Contract: Specific Purpose Contract
Role Overview
The Junior Finance Analyst (AR) ensures the Accounts Receivable function supports financial and budgetary requirements. The role collaborates with three Junior Finance Analysts and the Assistant Management Accountant to manage resident rent accounts and support projects in the Finance Office.
Key Responsibilities
* Address resident rent queries promptly, coordinating with the Contact Centre and Housing Services Teams
* Post rent transactions to the accounting software
* Ensure rent charges comply with housing rental policies
* Reconcile information across IT systems for Housing Services and Finance
* Complete periodic bank reconciliations
* Investigate items in the Suspense Account
* Provide periodic and ad-hoc reports as required
* Assist with ad-hoc duties and financial projects
* Provide cover for other finance staff during holidays and busy periods

Who Were Looking For
Person Specification
* Strong Customer Focus
* Ability to work with departments outside of Finance
* Adaptability to new IT systems
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Knowledge of accounting systems
Experience/Qualifications
* Educated to Leaving Cert
* 3–5 years’ experience in a finance department
* Intermediate IT skills, particularly Excel
* Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent experience is an advantage
