Electrical Maintenance TechnicianPermanent Full-TimeBon Secours Hospital CorkAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities Department at Bon Secours Hospital Cork.The RoleThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the safe, efficient repair, maintenance and operation of all electrical and associated building services within the hospital, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and hospital policies at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out maintenance, repair and upkeep of all electrical systems and building services across the hospital.Maintain and operate plant and equipment including electrical distribution, generators, UPS, air conditioning and related systems.Deliver preventative maintenance programmes and respond to breakdowns and emergencies, including out-of-hours and on-call duties.Supervise and coordinate staff and contractors for assigned tasks.Work collaboratively with other maintenance trades and departments.Monitor systems, keep accurate records, logs and test results.Manage and support computerised maintenance systems and the Building Energy Management System to optimise energy use.Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and hospital policies, promoting safe working practices.Participate in training and undertake additional duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.Person SpecificationEducation:Time served as an electrical craftsman to senior level trade standards or similarExperience:Experience working in a facilities/maintenance environment.Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, air conditioning and catering equipmentKnowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and generators (Desirable)Skills:Proactive, committed team member, self-motivated, flexible and ability to work on own initiative and Excellent Communication SkillsFor informal enquiries, please contact Padraig O'CallaghanTo apply, please submit your application via our website / Workday.Bon Secours Health System is an equal opportunities employer.
