Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate work in a production facility, using the most advanced, energy-efficient technology, creating a range of exceptional products. This role will play a key part in maintaining plant reliability, managing contractors, and guiding engineers and technicians across a busy maintenance environment. Role
* Lead maintenance activity across a defined plant area
* Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance plans
* Direct contractors and guide junior engineers and technicians
* Plan shutdowns and major overhauls
* Troubleshoot failures and improve equipment reliability
* Support and deliver large-scale plant improvement projects
* Maintain and improve safety and environmental standards
Requirements
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Min 5 years experience in mechanical engineering within Ireland
* Strong background in heavy industry, utilities, cement, quarry, mining, or large-scale manufacturing
* Proven experience leading people, contractors, or engineering teams
* Solid understanding of reactive and preventative maintenance
* Ability to plan downtimes, manage resources, and deliver projects
* Confident communicator who can influence and guide others
* Full right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship offered)
* Residing within a commutable distance of the site
* Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
