Established in 2006, the company has grown rapidly into one of Ireland's most highly regarded providers of water and wastewater infrastructure services, and a respected contractor across a broad range of civil engineering disciplines.We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead and coordinate the design delivery of multiple water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role will involve managing multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful delivery from concept through construction support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design management of water and wastewater projects across all project stages, from feasibility and concept design through detailed design and construction supportManage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and environmental disciplinesAct as the primary design interface with the client, project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodiesEnsure designs comply with the client's standards, Irish and EU regulations, health & safety requirements, and best industry practiceOversee design programmes, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveryReview and approve design deliverables, reports, drawings, and technical specificationsManage design risk, including HAZID/HAZOP, constructability reviews, and value engineering exercisesSupport procurement activities, including preparation of technical documentation and tender reviewsProvide technical input during construction, including responding to RFIs, design changes, and site queriesMentor and support junior engineers and designers, promoting a high-performing design cultureRequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience in the water and wastewater sector, with significant experience in a design management or senior design roleProven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on complex infrastructure projectsExperience across water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, networks, and associated infrastructureExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in design
