Medforce are currently recruiting a Professionally Qualified Social Worker to join our client's Adult Mental Health Service in Arklow, Wicklow. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, person-centered care to adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
The Social Worker will provide a high-quality social work service to adults accessing mental health services, working as part of a community-based multidisciplinary team. The role involves assessment, intervention, advocacy, and coordination of care, with a focus on recovery, autonomy, and social inclusion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments and risk evaluations.
* Deliver individual, group, and family interventions in line with evidence-based practice.
* Collaborate closely with service users, carers, colleagues, and external agencies.
* Promote recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care across the service.
* Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, team meetings, and service planning.
* Provide support and advocacy around housing, financial issues, legal matters, and safeguarding.
Essential Requirements:
* Hold a Qualification in Social Work or equivalent recognised by CORU.
* Be registered with CORU as a Social Worker
* Demonstrate a minimum of one year post-qualification experience (preferably in a mental health or adult services setting).
* Full clean driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in community or acute adult mental health settings.
* Understanding of current mental health policy and legislation (e.g. Mental Health Act 2001, A Vision for Change, Sharing the Vision).
* Training in therapeutic approaches (e.g. CBT, DBT skills, family work) is advantageous.
