Account Manager (Chemicals) – Dublin
Our client a long established and growing supplier of approved specialty chemicals to a wide range of industries. They are currently seeking to employ an Account Manager to join their expanding sales team and further their career in sales with this very ambitious company. Ideally you have previously sold chemicals into Industrial, Food or Construction sectors across Ireland.
The role will report to the Managing Director and be based on site daily in North Dublin in their Headquarters. This very exciting role will entail day-to-day management of a set of customer accounts.
Role /Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Key account management of existing customers
2. Perform sales administration activities - generating quotations, order processing, sourcing
3. Perform customer sales visits as required
4. Initiate outbound sales calls to generate and develop incremental business with existing clients
5. Develop new customers - identify, develop and target prospects through cold calling
6. Achieve sales and profitability targets in line with company objectives
7. Help to ensure that the sales team hit company sales budget
8. Update the company CRM daily
9. Report to senior management monthly
Education/Experience:
10. Previous Chemicals Account Management/Sales experience
11. Strong network across Industrial Sectors in Ireland
12. Have a proven track record of exceeding sales target and developing new business
13. Be a fast learner
14. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
15. Be capable of working on their own initiative
16. Be a team player - role is mainly office based with travel to visit customer accounts
