Responsibilities
1. Build Strategy: Tailors Microsoft standard messaging to the audience using knowledge of specific Microsoft products. Learns about Microsoft capabilities to contribute to strategy development and provide strategic and technical input. Tailors Microsoft value messaging to the audience. Reviews customer interactions and acts on customer feedback to contribute to strategy development. Serves as the voice of the customer through feedback, blockers, insights, and resources. Assists team members in monitoring, analyzing, or implementing action plans to promote customer usage of key Microsoft solutions that support business outcomes.
2. Scale Customer Engagements: Engages resources (e.g., product and engineering teams) and leverages programs like Microsoft Technology Center, executive briefing centers, and partner workshops. Develops understanding of standards and best practices, supports customer engagements through pre-sales activities, and uses sales and delivery methodologies. Uses product expertise to build credibility and anticipates next steps based on customer context. Identifies customer needs and recommends suitable Microsoft solutions, improving interactions through feedback and observation. Engages with customer decision-makers with coaching from others.
3. Scale Through Partners: Participates in partner sell-with scenarios, facilitates technical engagements, and manages sales processes with colleagues. Supports relationship development with pre-sale teams and partners. Identifies top partners to collaborate with in applicable territories.
4. Solution Design and Proof: Presents basic reference architectures to partners or customers. Uses existing demonstration assets and contributes to proof of concept sessions. Leverages partner/customer teams to demonstrate product capabilities and integration. Reviews partner demonstrations and provides feedback to ensure alignment with Microsoft standards.
5. Technical Leadership: Ensures customer technical teams are aware of and leverage available skilling programs. Participates in community sessions, hackathons, and community calls. Uses readiness materials to expand domain knowledge and communicate effectively with customers, partners, and colleagues.
Qualifications
1. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience. Proficiency in English & German. Technical communication skills, problem-solving ability, and presentation skills. Role based in Ireland with up to 50% work from home; relocation may be required.
2. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree plus 2+ years in technical pre-sales or consulting, or equivalent. 1+ year experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructures. Creativity, decision-making, relationship management, and knowledge of Microsoft products. Willingness to attain relevant certifications.
