The role
Northern Trust is a Fortune 500 global financial institution committed to integrity and service. We are seeking a team leader to manage a client‑service delivery team, oversee operational excellence, and support new and complex products/services.
Responsibilities
Manage overall workload of the team, set objectives, and track performance.
Ensure and maintain client service levels, delivering accurate reports and information in a timely manner.
Monitor performance against client Service Level Agreements and attend operational meetings with key clients.
Cultivate and maintain working relationships with Relationship Managers, Client Service Delivery Managers and other Service Managers.
Act as the main client contact within your area of expertise, following up on day‑to‑day queries and resolving issues.
Identify and address service issues as they arise.
Provide technical expertise for new or complex products/services and oversee implementation of new processes.
Provide management reporting on transactions, including volume, productivity, new development and service impact.
Assist clients, partners, and staff with complex problem resolution.
Balance high‑level operational execution, development, and strategic direction of business function activities.
Develop periodic goals, organize work, set short‑term priorities, monitor activities, and ensure timely completion.
Maintain risk management and compliance programs for the assigned group.
Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of financial industry operations, including fiduciary services and trust systems.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Leadership and organizational skills to set goals and motivate team members.
Education & Experience
A college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience are required.
