Dementia Advisor Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Dementia Advisor. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.
About the Role
The Dementia Advisor will be responsible for providing practical assistance, advice, and support to individuals with dementia and their families. This will involve working on an outreach basis, offering information and signposting people to appropriate services and supports.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Providing support and guidance to individuals with dementia and their families
* Assisting with navigation of the health and social care system
* Working closely with existing and developing services within the HSE and Community
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A primary degree or equivalent in a relevant healthcare area such as Social Care, registered nurse, occupational therapy, or social work
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of dementia and related issues
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to continuing professional development
* Experience in the community care sector
* A full driver's license and access to own vehicle
