Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Castlerea Prison. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess and intervene with individuals who have been referred to our service due to mental health difficulties or offence-related needs.
About the Role:
* Provide evidence-based group and individual interventions to support clients with mental health difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality and behaviour disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
* Conduct formal offence-related risk assessments and prepare reports for the Parole Board.
* Develop and implement complex case consultation and risk management plans.
* Work collaboratively with community agencies to support the transition of clients from custody to the community.
Requirements:
* Graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
* Postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by PSI.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
