Database Administrator/Developer PFH Technology are currently looking for a Database Administrator/Developer to join our growing team. Role Overview: Develop and maintain a SQL Server database. The individual will be responsible for establishing business continuity by defining the backup and replication schedules and detailing recovery processes. In addition, they will develop OLAP functionality and implement ETL processes where required. There is also a requirement to gather details from key stakeholders and develop solutions which can be used to support Service Operations Reporting. Key Responsibilities: * Expertise in developing databases within a SQL Server environment (SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services) * Skilled in the design and development of OLAP functionality and Data Warehousing * Ability to ensure business continuity in terms of database replication, backup and recovery * Experience creating stored procedures and functions * Proficient in database optimization, monitoring (T-SQL, DMVs etc.) * Experience of building ETL processes and pipelines * Security and Access Control: Managing roles, permissions & encryption. * Monitoring Tools: SQL Server Profiler, Performance Monitor, or third-party solutions (SolarWinds, Redgate, etc.). * CI/CD for Databases: Awareness of DevOps practices in DB development. * Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, C#, Python, R) Candidate Profile: * MS PowerBI * ITSM experience, Ivanti Service Desk/Ivanti Neurons preferred. * Cloud Technologies: (Azure SQL, Data Factory, etc.) * Version Control: Familiarity with tools like Git for database scripts. * Automation tools like MS Power Automate.
