A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Event Executive to work in the Sales & Events team at the Guinness Storehouse. The candidate will have responsibility for coordinating and managing sales and event functions within the business.
Key Duties Include:
* Co-ordinating events and communicating with all departments within Guinness Storehouse.
* Responsibility of the full client journey including enquiry management, proposal generation, planning meetings with clients, contracting and coordinating final details, and ensure accurate billing.
* Conduct show-arounds of the Guinness Storehouse and facilitate FAM trips.
* Effective diary management of the in-house booking system and maintaining the client database.
* Relationship management with client accounts and key stakeholders (Diageo, DMC'c, Tour Operators, PCO's)
* Assisting Management with business development activities as required.
* Ensuring all event proposals area aligned with the Guinness Storehouse overall event strategy.
* Networking, building and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new business.
* Promote a professional image of both Guinness Storehouse and Aramark Ireland at all times both internally and externally.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience within the Tourism / Hospitality industry within a conference and banqueting, corporate events or hospitality role
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent planning and organising skills
* High attention to detail
* Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work on own initiative
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including on occasion working late evenings and weekends.
* Enthusiastic and positive attitude to work
* Proficiency in English language.
* Comfortable working within a busy and dynamic team/business
* 3rd level qualification in business/or hospitality would be beneficial
* Good understanding of the business events industry
