Job Description:
Vhi Health & Wellbeing is looking to secure a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for our Paediatric Clinics with the experience and training required to enable us to deliver high-quality child and adolescent mental health services as part of a multidisciplinary team. The CNS will be responsible for delivering effective, recovery-oriented, high-quality care for children under 18 years of age, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patients attending the paediatric mental health service
- Integrate evidence-based knowledge and research into the delivery of nursing care and administration
- Embrace change and new initiatives promoting excellence in patient care
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and patients
Requirements:
- Registered on the Children's Division and/or the General Division of the register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or eligible for registration
- Registered in the Psychiatric Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or eligible for registration
- 5 years post-registration experience, with a minimum of 2 years in paediatric & adolescent ADHD support care
- Formal recognised post-registration education relevant to the area, at level 8 (higher diploma) according to QQI National Framework
