Lawler Group is expanding its commercial team and we are seeking a senior, technically strong commercial salesperson who can operate across our Consulting and Sustainability practices, work peer-to-peer with engineers and business unit Leads and help shape the next phase of our three-year growth ambition.
This is not a traditional sales role. It is a commercial growth role, combining technical insight, opportunity creation, quality pipeline management, and strategic revenue guidance for senior leadership.
What You Will Own
1. Drive the Group's Commercial Growth Plan: You will take direct ownership of a monthly growth target, contributing to the organisation's three-year revenue ambition.
2. Integrate Opportunities Across Business Units: You will uncover and develop opportunities that flow between Consulting, Sustainability, and Engineering teams.
3. Protect Commercial Quality & Profitability: You'll qualify opportunities rigorously, ensuring early commercial fit, resource viability, profitability, and alignment with strategic targeting.
4. Pipeline, Forecasting & Revenue Stability: You will own pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, opportunity risk, and the forward 12+ month revenue book.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with the right mix of timing, value, and strategic account focus.
2. Execute outbound prospecting and value-based outreach that consistently generates strong opportunities.
3. Conduct high-quality technical discovery, diagnosing customer needs and aligning complex challenges.
4. Run a consultative, advisory-led sales process with senior decision-makers.
5. Collaborate closely with engineers, consultants, and sustainability specialists.
6. Act as a commercial advisor at leadership level.
7. Maintain accurate reporting and CRM hygiene.

* A strong technical or engineering background (mechanical, energy, or related fields).
* Experience selling in environments where technical colleagues influence the customer solution.
* Excellent discovery and communication skills; ability to simplify the complex.
* Demonstrated ability to manage strategic opportunities across multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial judgement.
* Comfort operating at peer level with business unit heads.
