Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main contractor, is currently seeking a Pre Construction Engineer / BID Writer to join their team in either Galway or Dublin. This is a full-time permanent position with opportunities to work on projects covering Commercial, Educational, Residential, Healthcare, and Industrial. This role will have Hybrid working opportunities available.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Generate top-tier proposal documents by orchestrating and crafting captivating content. Refine technical jargon for clarity, persuasion, and a client-centric approach. Ensure adherence to corporate brand guidelines and bid management protocols.
2. Establish and upkeep a comprehensive database of case studies, templates, and CVs to streamline the proposal development workflow effectively.
3. Collaborate closely with technical specialists to tailor responses for tender requests. Conduct interviews across all organizational levels to glean insights on value propositions, covering construction methodologies, innovation, digital project delivery, HSE, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability.
4. Foster robust working relationships across all organizational echelons to foster seamless collaboration and information exchange.
5. Assess tender requirements and formulate compelling responses that aptly address client needs. Infuse proposals with company values, vision, and culture to deliver a distinct and engaging presentation.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related fields.
2. Prior experience in construction/engineering preferred.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
5. Meticulous attention to detail in content creation and editing.
6. Familiarity with the construction industry advantageous; understanding of corporate procedures valued.
7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite required; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud desirable.
