Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
If you possess the qualities that make you able to carry out light maintenance work, this job is for you. You will make sure premises are kept clean, orderly and safe for everyone, and you have the ability to see things that others cannot and clean items they didn't notice were dirty. No experience necessary.
Duties will include general cleaning, such as:
* Maintain the building to a good standard.
* Carry out any light repair work that is needed.
* Check and pick up rubbish that may be dropped or blown into the grounds.
* Keep gravel free of weeds.
* Maintain shrub and flower beds around one side and at the back of the church.
* Paint railings where needed.
* Help move chairs, tables and props for stage.
* Paint doors, walls, stair steps, banisters and other areas that may need painting; from time to time the stage floor needs painting.
* Apply woodwork skills for small jobs.
* Be generally available to help out at an event if required.
