Let’s do our best work together.DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer in Product Operations, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and optimisation of innovative processes and technologies to support Apple’s amazing product line up.You will also have the opportunity to contribute to optimisation and state of the art automation initiatives, supporting manufacturing and logistics activities across the region.The value added services team supports manufacturing activities across multiple third party facilities, throughout the EMEIA region, including personalisation, refurbishment and product configuration.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of end to end manufacturing processes and technologies across multiple sites and countries within EMEIACollaboration with global cross functional teams and third party vendors do deliver end to end solutionsContinuous process improvement and optimisation, driving key performance metrics to support delivering products to customers with high quality and cost efficiencyDesign, commissioning and qualification of semi-automated and automated solutions within manufacturing and logistics environmentsSupport New Product Introductions across Apple product portfolio spanning multiple sites and vendorsMinimum QualificationsB.Eng. M.Eng, B.Sc. M.Sc. in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Process / Industrial / Biomedical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent third level qualification in a related disciplineExperience in development or optimisation of automated processes within a manufacturing or logistics environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in 3D CAD for design of equipment / tooling / fixtures / assembly aidsExperience using additive manufacturing processes such as 3D printingExperience with laser technology i.e. marking, weldingExperience in writing technical documentation, i.e. technical reports, work instructions, change impact assessments, user requirement specifications, equipment qualification protocols and reports etc.Experience leading large scale automation programs from conception to completionKnowledge of PFMEA or equivalent risk analysis methodologiesExperience using statistics to assess process capabilityKnowledge of industrial engineering, line balancing, lean or six sigmaExperience working with third-party vendorsExperience supporting multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritise activities
