Our client is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Paediatric Registrar to join their dynamic paediatrics team with immediate start until July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with prior paediatric experience who is looking to further develop their clinical skills and career in a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents under the supervision of Consultant Paediatricians.
* Participate in the day-to-day running of the paediatrics department including ward rounds, outpatient clinics, emergency care, and neonatal care.
* Assist in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of paediatric patients in line with best clinical practice.
* Contribute to the education and supervision of junior medical staff, medical students, and nursing staff.
* Participate in the on-call rota, including nights and weekends.
* Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital and national standards.
* Engage in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and continuing professional development (CPD).
* Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and protocols to ensure safe and effective care.
* Medical degree and full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
* Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate clinical experience, including at least 6 months in paediatrics.
* Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Programme (NRP) certification.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
Desirable:
* Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) or equivalent.
* Previous experience in neonatal intensive care or paediatric emergency medicine.
* Experience working in the Irish healthcare system.
