Procurement Specialist Role
A leading chemical and gas raw materials organization seeks an experienced procurement specialist to join their team.
The role involves negotiating contracts with key stakeholders of chemical & gas warehousing in Ireland and consolidated warehousing.
The selected candidate will identify new processes & continuous improvement opportunities and implement required changes with support from the Ireland productivity manager.
Responsibilities include:
* Negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers
* Developing annual budget submissions for business operations and analyzing cost and sales data for senior directors
* Contract negotiation with customer and international ocean freight providers
* Managing a team of procurement professionals and developing their skills
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualifications or significant working experience in procurement and/or supply chain management
* Strong commercial procurement management skills
* Experience managing a team and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Past experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
