PE Global is currently recruiting a Reliability Engineer for one of our medical technology clients based in Galway.
This is an initial 12-month contract position.
Job Role
* Develop and coordinate technical reliability studies, evaluating engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs.
* Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve required product reliability levels.
* Conduct risk analysis studies of new designs and processes.
* Analyze performance reports and process control statistics, investigating relevant variables affecting products and processes.
* Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
* Analyze preliminary plans and develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer, and governmental agency reliability objectives.
* Expertise in biocompatibility and sterilization of medical devices.
* Propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability as needed.
* Determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, specifying minimum sample numbers for statistically valid data.
* Deliver and manage projects assigned, working with stakeholders to achieve desired results.
* Mentor colleagues or direct the work of lower-level professionals as required.
* Oversee projects from design to implementation, adhering to policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education.
* Coach and review the work of lower-level specialists; manage projects/processes as necessary.
Requirements
* Prior experience in project management.
* University Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
