Job Title: Mechanical Shift Technician
We are seeking a skilled mechanical shift technician to join our organization in Grangecastle, Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and operating utilities equipment in a controlled environment, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering work instructions.
The role involves:
* Monitoring relevant control systems for good manufacturing practices (GMP) and non-GMP alarms
* Escalating alarms according to relevant procedures and SOPs
* Investigating alarms as per relevant procedures
* Operating utilities equipment to maintain high standards of plant uptime
* Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance according to site maintenance procedures
* Carrying out technical investigations and field rounds to ensure optimal equipment performance
* Participating in maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
* Reviewing permits to work before signing off
* Acting as lockout coordinator for control of hazardous energy
* Collaborating with maintenance and calibration teams to execute scheduled calibrations and work
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Apprenticeship or third-level qualification with mechanical experience
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical utilities or process maintenance
* Knowledge of utilities systems, including pumps, HVAC systems, air compressors, steam boilers, and ancillary services
* Understanding of basic instrumentation and cGMP engineering systems
