Job Summary
The Senior Activity Planner is responsible for developing and implementing activity programs to enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves working closely with nursing staff to support residents in their daily activities, while also ensuring their privacy and dignity are respected.
The Coordinator will be responsible for organizing a variety of activities, including arts, baking, gardening, exercise sessions, walks, and sensory room visits. Special activities may include outings, garden visits, birthday parties, seasonal celebrations, drawing up activity programs, maintaining resident files, and updating Life Story Books.
Key qualifications for this role include a relevant Healthcare/Social care qualification, experience in similar roles, completion of Sonas & Imagination Gym courses (desirable), and strong Communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents
* Work closely with nursing staff to ensure that residents receive optimal care and support
* Organize and lead a range of activities, including arts, baking, gardening, exercise sessions, walks, and sensory room visits
* Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements
* Relevant Healthcare/Social care qualification
* Experience in similar roles
* Completion of Sonas & Imagination Gym courses (desirable)
* Strong Communication skills
