The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, including suspension, brake, exhaust, and electrical systems.
* Perform and document routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid top-ups, filter replacements.
* Conduct services (e.g., tyre pressure checks, starter testing, wiper fitting) where appropriate.
* Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot engine, transmission, and electronic faults.
* Ensure workshop compliance with safety and environmental standards.
* Maintain clean, organized workspaces and manage parts/inventory stock levels.
* Liaise directly with customers and reception staff to explain issues and solutions clearly and professionally.
Requirements
* Qualified mechanic.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity brake servicing, exhaust systems, and MOT standards.
* Holds a full clean driver's license.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
