Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Advisory, you will provide clients with expert technical and strategic guidance on a range of water-related initiatives at both site and portfolio levels. You willhelp developclear, actionable strategies that help clients improve water efficiency, strengthen water resilience, and meet water-related disclosure requirements-all while aligning with their business goals, regulatory obligations, and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
AsaWater Sustainability Consultant, you will play avitalrole in advancing sustainable water management across diverse sites and portfolios, delivering tangible business and environmental benefits.In this role, you will have the opportunity tocollaboratewith a broad range of clients across Ireland and the UK, influencing sustainable water practices in diverse sectors. You will be supported by a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leadingcomprehensive site- and portfolio-level water assessments,including water mapping,waterbalance analysis, risk identification andtrue costof water studiesensuring projects are delivered on scope, schedule and budget.
* Establishingrobust baselines for water efficiency, resilience and stewardship, identifyinghigh-impact opportunities for improvement that deliver measurableimpact.
* Benchmarkingsiteperformance against industry peers and internal targets toidentifyquick wins and develop long-term improvement strategies.
* Translatingfindings into actionable, phased plans featuring measurable targets, capital and operational options, and compelling business case summaries.
* Guidingclients in the accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of water data, ensuring compliance with leading frameworks such astheInternational Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
* Facilitatingeducational and decision-making workshops with cross-functional teams to alignobjectives, build stakeholder commitment, and drive momentum.
* Communicatingeffectively across all organisational levels to advocate for and advance water-related initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
* AnhonoursBachelor or Master’sdegree in an Environmental Management, Water Resource Management, Civil, Engineering or Scientific domain.
* Ideally, 2+ years' experience in water projects inindustrial settings.
* Experience andexpertisein metering, monitoring, water risk assessment, analysis and optimisation methodologies and water mapping.
* The ability to lead client sustainability engagements
* An ability toidentify,establish, andmaintainrelationships with key stakeholders
* Strong teamplayerwhocan manageseveralprojects, meetdeadlinesand manage stakeholder expectations
* Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with others
* Strong interpersonal skills and a client service-oriented mindset
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report drafting and delivering presentations
* The ability to lead and motivate themselves and others; takes ownership of issues and seeks team participation to achieve best solution.
* The ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
* Excellent IT skills, (MS Excel in particular) and resource efficiency and mapping software.
* Knowledge and experience of the implementation of environmental management systems and standards such as ISO14001, ISO5001, Alliance for Water Stewardship etc would beadvantageous.
* The role will require a flexible approach to working, and a willingness to travel toclientsites across Ireland and to various related events and conferences ifrequired.

You must be currently legally entitled to work andresidein Ireland. If you are not currently an EEA Citizen, you must upload a copy of your current Visa and Work permit along with your CV or your application will not be processed. Please note your current work authorisation status must allow you to fulfil the terms of the contract on offer.
