A major Irish-owned food and beverage wholesaler are looking to hire a skilled and dedicated Financial Accountant to provide support to the finance and management teams, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities:
- Supports finance and management by managing Balance Sheet and P&L, preparing GL reconciliations, and overseeing the Fixed Asset Register
- Acts as the central point for AR/AP issue resolution and prepares cash flow forecasts through business liaison
- Handles weekly, monthly, and quarterly period-end reporting, including management accounts, and assists with HMRC submissions and external audits
- Focuses on understanding and improving margin reporting, identifying and implementing control/compliance enhancements, and maintaining procedure documentation
- Provides timely financial information for business needs and collaborates on Budget, Forecast, and 3-Year Plans, while also supporting the ERP system implementation
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE
- Experience of working in a fast-paced organisation, ideally as part of a controls focused finance team with a track-record of delivering high quality results
- Stakeholder management skills with ability to build relationships, internally and externally
- A self-motivated approach to work - can do attitude, well organised to effectively prioritise and deliver high quality results
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, learn quickly and proactively anticipate the needs of the finance and management team
- Excellent analytical skills and excel skills
- Strong communication skills
