Being a leader in research and innovation and providing high quality care.Skills and attributesCancer NursingResearch NursingDescriptionThe CNM2 will provide professional and clinical leadership and support to the nursing team in the CTRU.The CNM2 will work across both the MMUH and the MPF campus.The CNM2 will coordinate and manage nursing resources within the CTRU.The post holder will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team who engage with researchers and clinicians to support clinical research within the CTRU.The CNM2 will work closely with CNM3 and CTRU Clinical Director in the strategic planning and provision of services to this unit.The CNM2 will work with CNM3, Directorate Nurse Manager and the CTRU Clinical Director to determine an integrated nursing development strategy to support practice and research in the CTRU and the Cancer Directorate and expand services with future trials.The CNM2 will be responsible for the line management, staff development and support for the nursing team in the CTRUThe CNM2 will participate in education and training of new staff in the unit to achieve and maintain clinical competencies pertinent to the service.The CNM2 will actively lead on quality initiative projects which improve the patient care and outcomes and contribute to papers arising from studies undertaken by the CTRU.The CNM2 will participate in internal and external audits to assess the quality of the service being provided.The CNM2 will participate in developing policies, standard of procedures and work instructions to maintain the highest standard and quality of work done.The CNM2 will assist CNM3 to ensure that all studies are conducted to the highest standard in accordance with ICH/GCP (R2), clinical trials directive 2001/20/EC and in keeping with local regulatory requirements.The CNM2 will also have a responsibility for a caseload of patients on clinical trials and research projects and take the lead of intensive studies which includes investigational medicinal products.Informal enquires to Bindu Krishnanivas.Paid Time-Off for Vacation and Sick DaysMater Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer
