A well-established mixed veterinary hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to advance their career as Head RVN.
This is an exciting permanent,
full-time opportunity (40 hours per week over 5 days, with 1 in 3 Saturdays and no out-of-hours, Sunday, or bank holiday work) within a supportive environment focused on clinical excellence.

The
Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
will be responsible for effectively managing the nursing team, fostering exceptional teamwork, and upholding the highest standards of clinical care.
This encompasses overseeing clinical nursing duties, including inpatient care, surgical nursing, and consultations, as well as mentoring junior nurses and support staff.
Additional responsibilities include setting professional conduct standards, supporting practice improvement projects, managing the nursing team's performance and appraisals, and organizing training to ensure high nursing care standards.
The role also involves overseeing stock levels and equipment maintenance, staying updated on veterinary legislation and ensuring compliance, providing clinical coaching, and maintaining Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) membership.
The successful candidate will also be expected to attend required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, manage the rota and cover for sickness and on-call, attend meetings, support partners with various tasks, and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and proper equipment maintenance.
The salary for this position is up to 45,000, commensurate with experience, and includes an attractive benefits package.
