Clinical Nurse Manager 1 – Day Oncology
Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9 – Permanent Full‑time 37.5 hrs per week.
Salary: €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (Government pay policy).
Reports to Clinical Nurse Manager 2/3; Location: Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9.
Closing date: Thursday 30th October 2025 @12 Noon.
Responsibilities
* Administer systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACT): education, ordering, assessment, safe administration, monitoring, disposal.
* Bed management: utilisation of patient accommodation, admission/discharge organisation, policy implementation.
* Workload estimation and allocation: decide and allocate work to staff, systematic patient needs assessment, documentation.
* Staffing and manpower planning: advise on staff levels, allocate skill mix, supervise nursing staff, monitor attendance, plan rosters.
* Personnel: promote morale, uphold safety policies, receive visitors, orient new staff, report behaviour, investigate complaints.
* Education / staff development: assess training needs, plan programmes, teach, counsel, ensure policies understood.
* Clinical nursing practice: develop protocols, assess needs, plan care, reporting systems, transfer, competence, mentorship, informed counsel, research, multidisciplinary rounds.
* Standards and quality of care: safeguard welfare, monitor quality indicators, ward management, ensure standards, check work quality, evaluate outcomes.
* Budgeting: maintain stock level controls, encourage economical use.
* Self‑development: stay current with professional development, maintain record, appraise, review performance.
* Ward auxiliary staff: supervise health care assistants, include induction and training.
* Administrative: ward clerk – ensure records, supervise, support.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
* Statutory registration: register in the relevant division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Experience: minimum 3 years full‑time post‑registration experience, 1 year experience in the speciality or related area.
* Clinical, managerial, administrative capacity to discharge role functions.
* Continuing professional development evidence (annual registration, PSAC).
* Annual registration maintained on the relevant division of the NMBI; confirm with HSE PSAC.
* Health and character: good health, good character.
* Desirable: management course.
