Job Description
The Role:
* Embark on an 18-month learning journey with our project development team.
* Gain experience across all areas of the development process, preparing you for the role of project manager.
What you will do:
1. Identify new solar sites to expand our renewable energy portfolio.
2. Analyze environmental constraints to ensure sustainable development.
3. Liaise with contractors and landowners to facilitate smooth project execution.
4. Evaluate project viability to maximize returns on investment.
5. Assess grid capacity to determine feasibility of new projects.
6. Prepare comprehensive project feasibility packs to inform decision-making.
7. Carry out site visits to the UK and ROI to gather insights and data.
8. Liaise with other teams in the business to ensure seamless collaboration.
What you should expect to learn in this role:
* A thorough understanding of the UK and Ireland Solar industry.
* Knowledge of the grid network infrastructure and technical requirements to connect a PV project to the grid.
* Project management skills to deliver successful projects.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with stakeholders.
* Presentation skills to effectively convey project information.
* Engagement with landowners to build strong relationships.
* Understanding project risk to mitigate potential issues.
* Ability to work within a team to achieve common goals.
* Confidence working in a large fast-paced organisation.
* Communication with senior management to provide updates and insights.
Your Profile
What we need from you:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related discipline.
* Valid driver's license for UK & Ireland.
* Passion for renewables and commitment to contributing towards a more sustainable future.
* Desirable but not essential: knowledge of the German or Italian language.
