Have you a passion for cooking?Are you looking to work in a fast paced environment?The Rose Hotel, Tralee, Co Kerry is recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team.The Rose Hotel is a 4 star hotel open all year round.It has 161 bedrooms, 2 restaurants, bar, function room, spa and gymMain duties of this role are:To follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations and enforce HACCPTo report for duty on time and in the correct uniformTo prepare and produce food for the area which you are assigned and to the agreed standards in conjunction with other chefsTo ensure that preparation is done for the next morningTo assist other chefs in the kitchen when requestedTo prepare staff lunches and keep an eye on the lunches in order to replenish it after the busy timesTo assist the Sous Chefs/Head Chef and Executive Chef when requiredTo work closely with other Chef de parties and to take responsibility for a section in the kitchenTo minimise wastageTo ensure all necessary mis-en-place are ready prior to serviceTo follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulationsTo ensure that all the guests' needs and requirements are metTo ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and groomingTo ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and other persons on the premises.To adhere to all safety procedures and rulesTo attend all in house training including manual handling, fire training, food hygiene training etc.To report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents and damageTo carry out any other duties as may be notified to you by management.The successful candidate must:Have at least 1 years Chef de Partie experience in a busy 3 or 4 star hotelMust have up to date certification with HACCP Level 1 & 2Excellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganisational skillsAbility to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking proceduresTime management skillsAbility to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environmentAbility to solve problems quicklyBenefits of Working in The Rose HotelAll year round employmentProvided with logged chef jackets and safety shoesProvided with on the job trainingAccess to Employee Assistance ProgramCar parking on siteMeal on dutyFree use of the hotel gym
