Position Summary The Mortgage Advisor role is a full time permanent role based in the heart of Wexford. This role will report directly to the Head of Lending and provide an efficient service to members of Wexford Credit Union and be accountable for each aspect of the Mortgage Loans process within the Credit Union. The Mortgage Advisor will help our members to secure finance for their homes while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and Credit Union lending guidelines. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Strong knowledge and understanding of the products and services available to Members and ability to promote and communicate them easily and clearly to Members. Respond to members Mortgage Application requests, package their applications, present these for Credit Approval and guide the member through to a successful mortgage drawdown. Assisting in Management and Maintenance of the Mortgage Back book. Liaise with solicitors, real estate agents and engineers/architects throughout the mortgage process, Keep up to date with lending criteria, current legislation and regulatory changes. Serve members through multiple channels i.e., telephone, online or over the counter. Fulfilment of Personal and Community Loans. Undertake relevant training as deemed necessary. Complete ad hoc duties as assigned including a range of administrative and organisational tasks. The above list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The successful candidates will have: Fully up to date QFA qualification. Minimum 3 years Mortgage Lending & Credit experience. Excellent administration skills and attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Experience in Business Lending desirable. Previous experience working in a credit union or other financial organisation desirable. The ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication and organisational skills. A strong member focus to maintain high standards of service. The willingness to be flexible and take on new tasks and projects.
