Role Overview
We're looking for a motivated and energetic
Business Development Representative (BDR)
to join our growing sales team. This role is focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities in the retail sector across the UK and EU, targeting retailers with 100 to 5,000+ locations. As the first point of contact with potential clients, you'll play a vital role in building Socio Local's sales pipeline and creating opportunities for the Account Executives to close deals.

Key Responsibilities
* Prospecting
: Identify and research potential clients in the retail industry to build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities.
* Outreach
: Proactively engage prospects through a mix of channels, including email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry events.
* Qualifying Leads
: Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and determine alignment with Socio Local's solutions.
* Collaboration
: Partner closely with Account Executives to develop tailored strategies for engaging and converting prospects.
* CRM Management
: Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity and ensure a clean pipeline in the CRM system.
* Market Insight
: Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to effectively position Socio Local in the market.
* Continuous Improvement
: Gather feedback from prospects to improve messaging and outreach strategies.
Your Impact
As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a crucial role in fueling Socio Local's growth. Your efforts will directly impact the company's ability to enter new markets, build relationships with key prospects, and drive revenue growth.
What We're Looking For
* Experience
: 1-2 years in a similar sales or business development role, preferably in SaaS, PaaS, or marketing technologies.
* Communication Skills
: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages.
* Drive
: A self-starter with a strong work ethic and a results-oriented mindset.
* Tech-Savvy
: Comfortable with CRM systems (e.g., Zoho or Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
* Team Player
: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with Account Executives and the broader sales team.
* Industry Knowledge
: Experience or familiarity with retail digital marketing or multi-location businesses is a bonus.
