The role
Overview
An Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor is required to join a top Build Contractor in Waterford. This client has a large pipeline of work and has a proven track record across a diverse range of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Heritage & Conservation, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Fitout, Leisure & Sport and Pharma. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop their career within the construction industry in an exciting, growing firm.
Responsibilities
Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors & suppliers through to final account
Produce accurate progress accounts
Preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments
Monitor and report on project costs
Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders
Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations etc
Requirements
Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying
Minimum 3-4 years relevant Irish experience ideally with a main contractor
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience in Buildsoft / Cubit / Bluebeam preferred
Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with an ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and excellent measurement knowledge
Ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while working to tight deadlines, managing time effectively
Ability to take initiative and work both individually and as a strong team player
Salary & Benefits
Salary circa €55k-€65k DOE
