We are presently recruiting for a Senior Site Engineer for our clients in Tralee, County Kerry. Working on one of the largest construction projects ever to commence in Kerry, this position will be for roughly 2 years and will require you to overseeing construction activities, ensuring project compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and ensure compliance with project design specifications and construction drawings.
2. Liaise with design consultants for design queries and revisions.
3. Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely issuance of IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings.
4. Ensure design changes are communicated to all relevant parties, including site and setting-out engineers.
5. Oversee technical submittals and ensure approvals are in place.
6. Verify and approve all setting out by junior and setting-out engineers.
7. Audit and approve survey control points, levels, and coordinates.
8. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of as-built surveys
9. Assist the Quality Manager in developing and overseeing the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for civil and concrete works.
10. Ensure proper sampling, testing, and certification of concrete.
11. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design and quality requirements.
12. Verify rebar placement, formwork quality, and concrete pour operations.
13. Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Skills & Qualifications:
14. A minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
15. Minimum 5 Years of experience in site engineering and construction supervision.
16. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and quality control standards.
17. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and surveying equipment.
18. Health & Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, SMSTS) is desirable.
