This role will manage the finance function for one of the businesses within the Connacht Hospitality Group, deliver accurate and timely financial reports and ensure the proper internal controls over key financial processes are maintained.
Responsibilities
* Production of monthly management accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations for two group companies to strict deadlines.
* Being a key support to the General Managers of the businesses in helping to support financial management and achievement of group targets.
* Contributing to the success of the businesses through value adds in addition to the core accounting role.
* Compiling the annual budgets for the businesses each year in line with Group targets and objectives.
* Completing weekly cashflow forecasts
* Oversee members of the accounts team working on accounts payable and receivables to ensure they are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
* Oversee creditor reconciliations and that the administration of the purchasing system is maintained.
* Playing a key role in the monitoring of internal controls for the two businesses, identifying potential weaknesses in systems and processes and strengthening controls where necessary.
* Preparation of a range of other financial reports to assist management in decision making and understanding performance.
* Attendance at and actively participating in weekly finance team meetings.
* Analysis of costs and identifying possible savings.
* Assisting in the annual audit process for these companies

Qualification
s
Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years work experience either in a busy commercial finance function or practice.
