Construction Manager – Cork, Ireland
IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is hiring a Construction Manager to provide technical, managerial, administrative and project support to Project Managers and Project Executives in our operations located in Cork, Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Supports the Project Manager in delivery of individual projects, focusing on quality objectives.
* Ensures achievement of safety objectives on assigned projects.
* Coordinates resources to achieve project goals.
* Interacts with clients on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
* Supports the Project Manager in developing and maintaining preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans, schedules, scopes of work, and budget management.
* Prepares and reviews project documentation, including change control documentation, invoices, subcontract agreements, and vendor invoices.
* Collaborates with Document Control to ensure proper distribution, review, and storage of project documents.
* Monitors and reports project costs, supports financial group in preparing invoices to client.
* Coordinates safety resources, monitors site safety, corrects nonconformances.
* Monitors design content and quality, coordinates design revisions for constructability and compliance.
* Facilitates communication between project participants; provides documentation of communication.
* Ensures compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Participates in preparation of proposals, presentations and other sales and marketing documents.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline or equivalent technical degree.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Delivery.
* Strong knowledge of prime contract requirements and project budget management.
* Experience managing project execution plans, schedules, scopes of work, and quality assurance.
* Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
