Opalus Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Emergency Medicine SHO's & Registrars to join our team in public and private healthcare settings across Ireland.
These locum and contract positions offer flexible assignment durations, ranging from short-term placements to longer engagements, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in fast-paced emergency departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Emergency Patient Care:
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical and trauma conditions.
* Resuscitation & Stabilisation:
Provide immediate life-saving interventions, including airway management, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and trauma resuscitation.
* Clinical Procedures:
Perform essential emergency procedures such as intubation, central venous catheterisation, chest drain insertion, and suturing.
* Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with consultants, registrars, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality emergency care.
* On-Call Duties:
Participate in the on-call rota as required, responding promptly to acute medical emergencies and trauma cases.
* Documentation & Handover:
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, ensuring effective handover of patient care between shifts.
Requirements:
* Medical Degree:
MBBS or equivalent, with full General registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
* Experience:
Experience working in the Irish healthcare system previously
* Skills:
Strong clinical acumen, decision-making abilities, and the capacity to perform under pressure in a high-paced environment.
* Flexibility:
Willingness to work across various locations in Ireland with adaptable shift patterns.
* Eligibility:
Must be eligible to work in Ireland as a Locum – Irish/UK/EU Passport or Stamp 4.
