What The Day Will Look Like
The Client Manager will be responsible for delivering excellence in client relationships, retention and growth of existing accounts, and providing robust client promise and development plans. The role involves managing and growing a portfolio of financial lines accounts (e.g., Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability) within a broking environment; managing client renewals, queries and mid-term adjustments; providing technical advice across a range of financial lines products; promoting key team values; coaching and mentoring junior members (potentially including people management and performance reviews); ensuring regulatory compliance and identifying process improvements; and participating in new business growth and formal tender management as required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver excellence in client relationships, retention and growth of existing accounts; provide robust client promise and development plans
* Manage and grow a portfolio of Financial Lines (e.g., Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability) within a broking environment
* Manage clients’ renewals, queries and mid-term adjustments from start to finish
* Provide technical advice and assistance to colleagues across a range of financial lines products
* Collaborate with the leadership team to enhance cultural characteristics: enthusiasm, teamwork, client focus, innovation, accountability
* Develop and support junior team members through coaching and mentoring; may include people management and performance reviews
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures; identify opportunities for process improvement
* Contribute to new business growth, including formal tender management and participation in bid teams as required
Qualifications and Experience
* A number of years of experience within a commercial environment (Financial Lines experience preferred, either in Broking and/or Underwriting)
* Progress towards Chartered Insurance Institute examinations (ACII), with a minimum achievement of CIP
* Proven track record in delivering results, product innovation, negotiating renewal deals, securing new clients, and managing jeopardy accounts
* Thorough understanding of financial lines products
* Strong communication and influencing skills; ability to communicate, present and collaborate with a variety of audiences; capable of leading and negotiating
