The role reports to the Deputy Manager and is responsible for supporting and leading a department and a team to deliver the best shopping trip for our customers, helping to serve Ireland's shoppers a little better every day.
You will be responsible for
Creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
Being responsible for the store when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are not present
Ensuring the team is fully trained and validated in their roles
Fostering two-way communication and a culture of trust
Coaching and managing colleagues to deliver daily priorities and meet customers' needs
Reviewing reports and systems to drive improvements for customers and colleagues
Driving a culture of zero food waste, managing date codes and preventing waste of food suitable for human consumption
Recruiting the best colleagues who are passionate about serving customers
Understanding cleaning specifications and delivering the plan through the team by leading by example
Managing stock control activities, warehouse layout and processes to enable right-first-time completion of routines
Root causing any incorrect prices, overcharges, refunds and label issues to ensure correct pricing
Managing front-end operations to help minimize customer queues
Acknowledging and providing feedback on great service and addressing gaps in service
You will need
For the Line Manager role you should have a demonstrated track record of:
Being passionate about delivering the right experience for customers and colleagues
Being adaptable and agile in thinking
Delivering key objectives in a fast-paced environment
Being the 'Go To' person for department queries
Shaping and influencing at senior levels
Previous retail experience in a similar role (preferred)
