Forensic Psychologist - Nationwide Position
The Irish Prison Service Psychology Service is a national psychological service that provides an integrated model of care, balancing risk management with individualized assessment and interventions. We are seeking a Forensic Psychologist to join our team in assessing and intervening with individuals presenting with complex mental health difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality and behavior disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and psychosis.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assess and intervene with individuals referred to the IPS Psychology Service in relation to mental health difficulties and offence-specific needs.
* To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
* To provide consultation, education, guidance, and support to multidisciplinary colleagues.
Requirements:
* Graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland or the British Psychological Society.
* A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology recognized by PSI.
* Experience in addressing emotional, mental health, and/or offence-related difficulties with a forensic or inpatient population.
